Betty Jean Wismann, a 92-year-old matriarch from Aurora, IN, passed away on August 28, 2024. She dedicated much of her life to her family and community service, notably as a member of the Dearborn County Council and a jail matron. Wismann was known for her love of family gatherings and her culinary skills, particularly enjoyed cooking and card games. Similarly, Mary Elizabeth Williams Witherspoon, 89, from Goldsboro, NC, died on August 9, 2024, with her funeral scheduled for August 16 at the Original Tabernacle of Prayer. In another obituary, Mary Cloid Thacker Frye, a lifelong Habersham County resident, passed away and is remembered for her service to local Baptist churches and her love for family.
