Evan Rachel Wood Reveals On-set Drug Use

Evan Rachel Wood revealed that during the filming of the 2007 Beatles musical 'Across the Universe,' she and costar Jim Sturgess were actually under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs in the 'I Am the Walrus' scene. Director Julie Taymor was unaware of this fact during filming. Wood highlighted that the movie almost faced major changes, as the studio wanted to remove political, queer, and psychedelic elements, which Taymor successfully defended. The revelation was made during a Cinespia screening at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where Wood shared behind-the-scenes insights with fans.
