New Hampshire Man on Trial Found Dead

Tyler Anderson, a New Hampshire man on trial for threatening the lives of three 2024 Republican presidential candidates, was found dead while the jury was deliberating his case. Anderson, who faced up to 15 years in prison, had been charged with transmitting threats via interstate commerce to candidates Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley, and Chris Christie. His threats included graphic messages of violence and mass shootings. The FBI had been searching for Anderson due to concerns he might harm himself, and he was found deceased in his car in a Concord Hospital parking garage. Prosecutors have since moved to dismiss the case, and the judge has discharged the jury. Anderson's defense had argued that he believed he was sending messages to bots, not real people.
