Rachel Maddow's first feature documentary, 'From Russia With Lev,' will premiere on September 7 at the MSNBC Live: Democracy 2024 event in Brooklyn. The film, directed by Billy Corben, chronicles the controversial journey of Lev Parnas, a former associate of Rudy Giuliani, who was involved in efforts to investigate Joe Biden during the Trump presidency. Parnas, who gained notoriety during Trump's first impeachment trial, alleges that Trump was fully aware of the activities surrounding him, contradicting Trump's claims of ignorance. The documentary includes over 30 hours of new interviews, along with a wealth of personal materials from Parnas, providing an in-depth look at the impeachment saga. Maddow's original interview with Parnas in January 2020 was a significant ratings success for her show, earning an Emmy nomination and drawing 4.47 million viewers. The film will also receive a limited release in theaters and air on MSNBC later in September.
