In Chicago, the Israeli American Council (IAC) has erected 'Hostage Square' to raise awareness for the 105 hostages held by Hamas following the October 7 attacks. The exhibit features oversized milk cartons with images of the eight American hostages, designed to evoke historical missing persons campaigns, and various artworks honoring the victims of the attacks. This event was strategically placed near the Democratic National Convention, contrasting with anticipated pro-Palestinian protests, as the city denied the IAC's request for a public permit.
