Cameron Boxall, a 21-year-old from Brighton, has been charged with kidnapping after a woman was forcibly taken into a car in Hove on August 5, 2024. The woman was approached for directions before the incident occurred at 2 AM, but she managed to escape shortly thereafter and call for help. In addition to kidnapping, Boxall faces multiple charges, including vehicle theft, driving without a license, and possession of cannabis. Two other men, aged 21 and 29, were arrested in connection with the case but have since been released on conditional bail. Sussex Police are urging anyone with information or relevant CCTV footage to come forward as the investigation continues. Boxall is scheduled to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on August 15.
