Kurt Hamrin, a legendary football player, passed away at the age of 89. He was remembered for his achievements as a winger and his significant contributions to Swedish and Italian football, leaving a big mark in Italy with 190 Serie A goals over 15 years at a number of clubs, and winning 1961 European Cup Winners' Cup and two Italian Cups with Fiorentina. He was the last surviving player from the 1958 World Cup final, where they were beaten by Brazil, and was a record goalscorer for Fiorentina, tied with Gabriel Batistuta, with 203 goals.
