The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Cleveland Guardians 5-3, snapping the Guardians' five-game winning streak. Aaron Civale pitched six shutout innings against his former team, allowing only four hits and one walk while striking out four. Willy Adames hit a three-run homer in the first inning, his franchise-record 10th of the season, nearly winning a fan a truck as part of a promotion. Garrett Mitchell and Brice Turang also contributed with RBIs, extending the Brewers' lead. Despite José Ramírez and David Fry hitting late-game homers for the Guardians, it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit. Gavin Williams of the Guardians allowed five runs in four innings, whereas Civale improved his record to 2-0 with a 1.46 ERA over his last two starts.
