Champai Soren to Form New Political Party

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren has announced his decision to form a new political party ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections, following internal conflicts and dissatisfaction with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). Soren had previously considered retiring or joining another party but has now confirmed he will not retire and is open to alliances. This decision comes after Soren's request to nominate his son for the Ghatshila seat was denied by JMM, leading to tensions. Despite efforts by JMM leaders to retain him, Soren's departure appears imminent, especially after expressing grievances about canceled programs and what he described as ‘bitter humiliation’ during his tenure. His move has triggered speculation about a potential alliance with the BJP, although no formal talks have been confirmed.
