Apple Excludes Older Models from Apple Intelligence

Apple introduced Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2024, featuring enhanced Siri, revamped Photos app, ChatGPT integration, and image creation abilities. The AI enhancements will be limited to iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models due to computational constraints, with future iPhone 16 series likely to support AI features. While older iPhone models theoretically could run Apple Intelligence, the performance would be too slow to be practical, attributed to bandwidth, Neural Engine size, and device power. Apple's focus on AI is not aimed at pushing device sales, emphasizing computational requirements for optimal AI functioning on specific hardware.
