Ayushmann Khurrana on 'Border 2'

Sunny Deol is set to reprise his role as Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri in the highly anticipated sequel 'Border 2', 27 years after the original film, which was a cult classic depicting the Battle of Longewala. The sequel is directed by Anurag Singh and is being promoted as India's biggest war film, with production expected to begin by November. Initially, Ayushmann Khurrana was in talks to join the cast but ultimately decided not to participate due to concerns about his role in an ensemble led by Deol. Although Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has been approached to join the cast, nothing has been confirmed as of yet. The film aims to recount the perspectives of the Army, Navy, and Air Force during the battle, further building on the legacy of the original movie. Fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel following Deol's announcement, which coincided with the 27th anniversary of the first film.
