Mariners Sweep Struggling White Sox
The Seattle Mariners completed a three-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox with a 6-3 win, extending the White Sox's losing streak to 14 games. Cal Raleigh led the Mariners with a two-run homer, while Bryce Miller pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits. The White Sox, now with a record of 27-81, have lost 20 of their last 23 games and are 54 games under .500 for the first time since 1932. Despite a two-run homer by Paul DeJong, the White Sox could not overcome their defensive errors and poor pitching. The Mariners' new acquisitions, Randy Arozarena and Yimi García, contributed to the team's offensive strength, with Arozarena reaching base and scoring runs. Seattle outscored Chicago 22-6 over the series, highlighting the White Sox's struggles this season.
