Bihar Government Reshuffles 14 IAS Officers

The Bihar government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has executed a significant bureaucratic reshuffle involving 14 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. This includes new appointments for various Deputy Development Commissioners (DDCs) and city commissioners, primarily affecting officers from the 2019 and 2020 batches. Noteworthy changes include Sumit Kumar as the new DDC of Bettiah, Preeti as the city commissioner of Bhagalpur, and Naveen Kumar as the DDC of Gaya. Additionally, 11 officers have been moved to the General Administration Department and are awaiting further assignments. This reshuffle is aimed at revitalizing administrative functions across the state, reflecting a strategy to leverage younger talent in key roles.
