Verizon acknowledged the problem, stating that their engineers were working to resolve it but did not provide a timeline or cause. Some speculated that Hurricane Helene, which caused significant damage in the southeastern U.S., could be a contributing factor. The outage also affected two-factor authentication processes, leaving users unable to access essential services.
