CBSA Makes Largest Meth Seizure in Manitoba History

On January 14, 2024, border agents in Boissevain made the largest narcotics seizure in Manitoba and Prairie history, confiscating 406.2 kg of methamphetamine estimated to be worth more than $50,780,000. The drugs, found in large suitcases in a commercial truck bound for Winnipeg, led to the arrest of the driver, Komalpreet Sidhu. Sidhu is facing several charges including importation of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He is due to appear in court on 1 February.
