Tellier was tackled in the third quarter and subsequently collapsed on the sidelines; he was airlifted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital but succumbed to his injuries the next day. The community, including the Alabama Independent School Association and NFL players, expressed deep sorrow and condolences, highlighting Tellier's kindness, generosity, and faith.
