Liverpool Sells Midfielder Bobby Clark to RB Salzburg

Liverpool has sold 19-year-old midfielder Bobby Clark to RB Salzburg in a £10 million deal, which includes a 17.5% sell-on clause and matching rights for future transfers. Clark, who made 12 appearances for Liverpool last season, will reunite with former assistant manager Pep Lijnders at Salzburg, who is hopeful of playing in the Champions League soon. The sale comes after Liverpool also sold Fábio Carvalho to Brentford for £27.5 million, marking a significant financial gain for the club as they had signed Clark from Newcastle for just £1.5 million in 2021. Clark expressed gratitude for his time at Liverpool, stating he had learned a lot during his three years at the club. Meanwhile, Liverpool is also considering the potential departures of other young players, including defender Sepp van den Berg. The club has yet to make any signings this summer, the only Premier League team without a new addition.
