Indian Shooters Fail to Reach Finals in Paris

Indian shooters Sarabjot Singh and Arjun Singh Cheema faced disappointment at the Paris Olympics, failing to qualify for the men’s 10m Air Pistol final. Sarabjot narrowly missed out, finishing 9th with a score of 577, just behind Germany's Robin Walter, who secured the last qualifying spot with a score of 577 and one more inner 10. Cheema finished in 18th place with a score of 574, despite showing promise with perfect shots in later series. Earlier in the day, Indian teams in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event also did not qualify, with Ramita Jindal-Arjun Babuta finishing 6th and Elavenil Valarivan-Sandeep Singh in 12th place. Both Sarabjot and Cheema were part of the gold medal-winning Indian team at the previous year's Asian Games. This disappointing start marks a challenging day for Indian shooters in the ongoing Olympics.
