New Ropeway Enhances Mathura Temple Access

A new ropeway service has been inaugurated in Mathura, allowing devotees to reach the Radha Rani Temple in just three minutes, enhancing pilgrimage experiences and boosting tourism in the region. The 210-meter-long and 50-meter-high ropeway can accommodate 72 devotees per hour, significantly reducing the physical effort previously required to ascend over 350 stairs. This development comes at a cost of Rs 25 crore and aims to support economic growth in Barsana town, a key part of the Krishna pilgrimage circuit. Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, is celebrated with great devotion across various cities in India, including Mathura, Vrindavan, and Dwarka, with visits from dignitaries like Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. ISKCON temples around the globe, including those in Mayapur, Vrindavan, Melbourne, and London, play a crucial role in the festivities.
