Three Charged After Inmate Death at HMP Fosse Way

A 31-year-old inmate was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at HMP Fosse Way in Leicestershire. Six men were initially detained on suspicion of murder, with three - Shaan Karim, Thierry Robinson, and Ashirie Smith - being charged and remanded in custody. The other three men were released under investigation. Additionally, a 20-year-old inmate was arrested on suspicion of assault and conspiracy to commit murder but has since been released under investigation. Leicestershire Police continue to treat the death as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.
