Following the legal action, Rowling deleted 27 tweets related to Khelif, although some of her inflammatory posts remain online. The lawsuit aims to hold accountable those who have contributed to online harassment against Khelif, highlighting the emotional toll it has taken on her. Rowling's silence and tweet deletions suggest a strategic retreat amid mounting scrutiny over her controversial comments on transgender issues. Khelif, however, remains resolute in defending her right to compete and has been vocal about the impact of the criticism she has faced.
