Crash in Livingston County Ky
A multi-vehicle crash on I-24 in Livingston County, Kentucky, resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including 68-year-old Saundra Dodd and two children, after a semi-truck driven by 24-year-old Mansur Kholikov failed to slow down in a construction zone. The truck collided with several vehicles, causing secondary collisions and igniting one vehicle, which was fully engulfed in flames upon the arrival of first responders. Kholikov, who was driving a 2011 Kenworth truck, was uninjured, while two other occupants from different vehicles were airlifted to hospitals for serious injuries. The crash, occurring at approximately the 32-mile marker, led to the closure of both westbound lanes of the interstate for several hours. Kentucky State Police are continuing to investigate the incident, with assistance from multiple agencies. The tragic event highlights ongoing safety concerns related to construction zones on major highways.
