Elevated Music Stages Banned at SoFi Stadium

Following a surge of noise complaints from last weekend's HARD Summer techno-music festival at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood has banned music stages at the elevated American Airlines Plaza. Over 100 complaints were received from nearby communities, notably El Segundo, regarding vibrations and loud booming noises. Mayor James Butts stated that the elevated stage was a major contributor to the issue, primarily due to certain bass frequencies in electronic music. Despite previous outdoor concerts at the plaza without complaints, officials worked with festival organizers to implement sound adjustments, which significantly reduced complaints but did not fully resolve vibration issues. Moving forward, Inglewood will require more comprehensive sound engineering plans to manage sound and bass frequencies at future events.
