Hyderabad Woman Claims Swiggy Delivery Agent Stole Laptop

Nishitha Gudipudi, a civil engineer from Hyderabad, has alleged that a Swiggy Genie delivery partner stole her husband's laptop during transportation between offices. After the delivery agent picked up the laptop, he allegedly switched off his phone and disappeared, leading the couple to contact customer service, which failed to identify the agent. They eventually reached the delivery agent via WhatsApp, who claimed his friend had used his login credentials and demanded a ransom of Rs. 15,000 for the laptop's return. Gudipudi expressed her concern over the safety of using such delivery services and shared screenshots of the ransom demand online. The incident has prompted discussions about security and accountability within delivery services. Swiggy has not yet publicly responded to the allegations.
