Ukrainian Drone Strike Ignites Russian Oil Depot Fire

Ukrainian drone strikes have ignited a massive fire at an oil depot in Proletarsk, Rostov region, leading to a state of emergency as firefighting efforts continue for a third day. The attack, claimed by Ukraine, targeted the Kavkaz oil storage facility, which was reportedly supplying the Russian military. Thick smoke and flames have engulfed an area of 10,000 square meters, with around 520 firefighters deployed to control the blaze, and 41 firefighters hospitalized due to injuries. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy indicated that the incursion into Russia's Kursk region was aimed at undermining Russia's military capabilities and creating a buffer zone. This operation has resulted in capturing a significant number of Russian prisoners, aiding Ukraine's efforts for prisoner exchanges. The incident underscores the ongoing vulnerabilities within Russia as Ukraine intensifies its military actions against Russian infrastructure.
