BSF Thwarts Infiltration Attempt in Meghalaya

The Border Security Force (BSF) has successfully thwarted multiple illegal infiltration attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya, apprehending three Bangladeshi nationals and three Indian facilitators on August 19. This operation was part of heightened surveillance efforts due to ongoing unrest in Bangladesh, aimed at preventing illegal crossings. The arrested individuals have been handed over to local police for further legal proceedings. Additionally, the BSF in Ferozepur has seized 500 grams of heroin and neutralized a drone carrying 538 grams of heroin, further demonstrating their commitment to combat drug smuggling. The BSF's initiatives reflect their ongoing strategy to ensure national security amid increasing challenges along the border.
