Fabio Vieira Loaned to Porto for 2024-25 Season

Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira is set to return to Porto on a season-long loan, two years after his £34.3m transfer to the Premier League club. Vieira, who has struggled for consistent game time and has been plagued by injuries, will not be part of Arsenal's squad for their upcoming match against Aston Villa. This move comes as Arsenal prepares to bolster their midfield with the arrival of Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad and the rise of young talent Ethan Nwaneri. Vieira has made 49 appearances for Arsenal, scoring three goals and providing nine assists, but has not managed to establish himself as a regular starter. Despite his loan move, Vieira remains under contract with Arsenal until 2027.
