Following her engagements in Fiji, she traveled to New Zealand, where she met with Governor General Dame Cindy Kiro and Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters, discussing educational exchanges and bilateral cooperation. Murmu highlighted the growing presence of Indian students in New Zealand, noting their significant contribution to international education. The tour aims to reinforce India's relationships with both Fiji and New Zealand, and she is set to visit Timor-Leste next.
