Cédrine Kerbaol Wins Stage Six of Tour de France Femmes
Cédrine Kerbaol made history by becoming the first French rider to win a stage in the Tour de France Femmes, clinching victory in the sixth stage with a decisive attack 14.5km from the finish line in Morteau. The 23-year-old rider finished 21 seconds ahead of competitors Marianne Vos and Liane Lippert, elevating her to second place in the general classification, just 16 seconds behind leader Kasia Niewiadoma. Niewiadoma took the overall lead after defending champion Demi Vollering crashed in the previous stage, losing significant time. The upcoming penultimate stage features a challenging route with five classified climbs, including a summit finish at Le Grand-Bornand. Kerbaol's victory has garnered excitement, as she expressed hope that it inspires future generations of female cyclists. The race concludes on Sunday at the Alpe d'Huez, known for its demanding climbs.
