Epic Games Store Launches for Mobile in EU

Epic Games has launched its mobile store in the European Union and worldwide on Android, allowing users to download Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League Sideswipe. This development follows the implementation of the EU's Digital Markets Act, which requires Apple to permit third-party app stores on its platform. Epic is seeking to establish itself as a serious competitor to Apple's App Store, charging a lower commission of 12% compared to Apple's fees that can reach 30%. While the initial catalog is small, Epic is committed to expanding it and has plans to onboard third-party developers by December.
