The Indian government appointed senior IPS officers Rajwinder Singh Bhatti and Daljit Singh Chaudhary as the new Directors General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the Border Security Force (BSF), respectively. Bhatti, a 1990 batch officer from the Bihar cadre, will serve as CISF DG until September 30, 2025, while Chaudhary, from the UP cadre, will lead the BSF until November 30, 2025. The CISF, established in 1969, currently protects 358 establishments including airports and government buildings, while Chaudhary has a notable record in law enforcement, having received multiple gallantry awards. These appointments were confirmed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and are part of a broader restructuring within India's security agencies. Both officers bring extensive experience to their new roles, with Chaudhary additionally having served in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) prior to his BSF appointment.
