M mangoes to Rahul Gandhi

The BJP has criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other opposition MPs for receiving mangoes sent by the Pakistan High Commission, suggesting that Gandhi prefers Pakistani mangoes over those from Uttar Pradesh (UP). Union Minister Giriraj Singh accused Gandhi of having 'napak' (unholy) ties with Pakistan, questioning his motives in the context of his recent remarks against Prime Minister Modi. The Pakistani High Commission confirmed the tradition of sending mangoes to Indian leaders, which has been termed 'Mango Diplomacy,' reminiscent of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's similar gestures. Although some MPs initially denied receiving the mangoes, confirmation from the High Commission has sparked further controversy. BJP leaders, including Anurag Thakur and Amit Malviya, have used this incident to attack the opposition, implying a connection between their actions and Pakistan. This event has reignited discussions about political relationships and diplomatic traditions involving mangoes.
