Hurricane Ernesto Becomes Post-Tropical Cyclone

Hurricane Ernesto has transitioned into a powerful post-tropical cyclone as it moves through the North Atlantic, causing dangerous rip currents and high surf along the U.S. East Coast, Bermuda, and Atlantic Canada. The storm's impact has been more severe along the U.S. coast, where at least three people drowned in rip currents and numerous rescues were carried out. As it weakens, Ernesto still poses a threat with high swells and strong winds expected to affect Newfoundland and potentially Europe later in the week.
