HRTC Reports Record Rs 70 Crore Revenue in August

Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) reported a record revenue of Rs 70 crore in August 2024, marking a 37.5% increase from Rs 51 crore in August 2023 and exceeding the Rs 58 crore earned in August 2022. This growth is attributed to strategic initiatives such as daily revenue monitoring, route rationalization, and maintaining operations despite disruptions caused by monsoon rains. HRTC has earned Rs 48 crore more in the first five months of 2024 compared to the same period last year, allowing timely payments to suppliers and meeting salary commitments despite reduced government grants. The implementation of new ticket and inventory management systems has further contributed to operational efficiency and cost management. HRTC aims to increase revenue to Rs 80 crore by the end of the fiscal year, reflecting a positive trajectory in financial performance.
