The Colorado Rockies halted a five-game losing streak by defeating the Chicago White Sox 5-4 in a 14-inning marathon on Sunday, with Michael Toglia's sacrifice fly scoring Ryan McMahon. The game was the Rockies' longest since September 2019 and a birthday victory for manager Bud Black. The White Sox had won three consecutive games prior, including an 11-3 win on Saturday powered by home runs from Paul DeJong, Luis Robert Jr., Lenyn Sosa, and Korey Lee. Despite recent struggles, Korey Lee hit his eighth home run of the season during this series. However, the White Sox remain one of the worst teams in baseball this season, now holding a 24-62 record.
