Tom Petty's Long After Dark Deluxe Edition Set

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' 1982 album, Long After Dark, will be reissued in a deluxe edition on October 18, featuring the original tracks alongside 12 additional songs, including seven previously unreleased. This edition includes tracks that Petty wished had made it onto the original album, such as his version of 'Never Be You' and 'Don’t Make Me Walk the Line.' The release aims to provide a fuller picture of the band's creative process during a time when they were at the peak of their popularity, despite the album being often overlooked. The deluxe edition will also feature remastered performances from French TV and liner notes from notable figures like Jimmy Iovine and Cameron Crowe. It will be available in various formats, including a limited edition 2LP pressing and digital downloads. The Petty Legacy archives will share additional remastered content from 1982-83 leading up to the release date.
