The historic city of Matera in southern Italy, known for its ancient cave dwellings and status as a UNESCO World Heritage site, recently faced damage from a stunt performed by the London-based parkour group Team Phat. The group filmed themselves performing dangerous stunts on the city's fragile buildings, resulting in a stone breaking off and one member, Devon McIntosh, suffering injuries. This incident has sparked outrage, with many criticizing the group's disrespect for cultural heritage. Previously, the group had been banned from Venice for similar reckless behavior. It remains to be seen if Matera will impose similar sanctions on the group.
