Son of Rock star killed girlfriend

Brent Clifford, the 55-year-old son of Creedence Clearwater Revival drummer Doug Clifford, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Patricia Portella-Wright, whose remains were discovered off Mt. Rose Highway in Nevada. Portella-Wright, 48, was last seen on August 4 and reported missing shortly after. Following her disappearance, police identified Clifford as a person of interest and subsequently arrested him on August 14 in California. He is also a suspect in the homicide of William Andrews, a 68-year-old man found dead in Reno, Nevada. Authorities confirmed 'apparent foul play' in Portella-Wright's case, with the investigation ongoing as they seek more information from potential witnesses.
