Croatian NBA Players in Athens Bar Altercation

Following their loss to Greece in an Olympic Qualifying Tournament, Croatian NBA players Ivica Zubac and Dario Šarić were involved in a bar altercation in Athens. Video footage shows Zubac initially in a scuffle before security intervenes, while Šarić, who tried to help, was put in a chokehold. The Croatian Basketball Federation claimed the players acted in self-defense after being attacked. The incident, which did not involve police, occurred at Bolivar Beach Bar and was quickly contained by security. Croatia's defeat by Greece ended their hopes of qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
