Missing Hiker Rescued in Angeles National Forest

The San Dimas Mountain Rescue Team successfully found 78-year-old hiker Ki Soo Yang, who had been missing for 30 hours in the Angeles National Forest. While searching, the team unexpectedly encountered former 'Tonight Show' host Jay Leno at Newcomb's Ranch, where he was meeting friends. Despite Leno and his group not having seen the missing hiker, they expressed gratitude for the rescue efforts and posed for photos with the volunteers. Yang, described as very fit but dehydrated, was discovered between Mount Waterman and Twin Peaks by a good Samaritan who then alerted authorities. Yang was airlifted to safety and reunited with his family. The rescue highlighted the importance of the hiking community's involvement in successful missions.
