Modi to Visit Brunei, Singapore in September

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Brunei and Singapore aims to bolster India’s 'Act East' policy and strengthen bilateral ties across multiple sectors, including defence, trade, energy, space technology, and health. In Brunei, Modi inaugurated the new Indian High Commission building and visited the iconic Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, marking the first-ever bilateral visit by an Indian PM. The visit coincides with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Brunei. In Singapore, Modi will meet Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, with an agenda focusing on technology, investment, and strategic partnerships. The trip also aims to reinforce India’s cooperation within the larger ASEAN framework and explore new areas of collaboration.
