Ferris Wheel Fire Injures Over 30 at Festival

A fire broke out on a Ferris wheel at the Highfield Festival in Leipzig, Germany, injuring over 30 people, including four police officers. The blaze, which started in one gondola and spread to another, resulted in two serious injuries and many cases of smoke inhalation. Eyewitnesses reported that the Ferris wheel continued to turn with people trapped inside as flames and thick smoke billowed from the compartments. German rapper Ski Aggu was performing when the incident occurred and paused his show to prevent panic. The fire was quickly brought under control, and the festival resumed about an hour later. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
