Burglars Steal Memorabilia from Pitino's Office

Rick Pitino's office at St. John's University was burglarized on Tuesday evening, with thieves making off with memorabilia and high-value items including a ceremonial sword, an autographed basketball, a bullhorn, a mask, and bottles of alcohol, notably a 1985 6L Petrus Pomerol wine. The burglars, who were caught on surveillance footage, entered the building around 6 p.m. and fled on a moped. The stolen items are valued at approximately $375, excluding the wine, which is worth between $2,000 and $3,000. The NYPD is investigating, but no arrests have been made yet. Pitino, who is entering his second season as head coach at St. John's, expressed his frustration on social media, particularly over the loss of the wine.
