Adani Energy Solutions Acquires Khavda Transmission Project

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has completed the acquisition of the Khavda Phase-IV Part-A transmission project, solidifying its status as India's largest private transmission company. The project, valued at approximately Rs 4,091 crore, will facilitate the evacuation of 7 GW of renewable energy from the Khavda Renewable Energy Park, which is set to become the world's largest with a planned capacity of 30 GW. AESL will develop the 298 km transmission network on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis and expects to complete it within 24 months. This initiative is crucial for India's decarbonization efforts, providing the necessary infrastructure for clean energy transfer to the national grid. The project includes advanced features such as a 300 MVAr Static Synchronous Compensator to enhance grid stability. AESL's strategic focus aims to transform Khavda into a key contributor to India's net-zero goals.
