The agency had previously introduced plans for several developments across nine state parks to enhance public access and recreational opportunities. Amidst the uproar, the foundation expressed appreciation for the feedback regarding the appropriateness of the park as a location for their project. Public meetings regarding other proposed developments are set for early September 2024.
