Katherine Cassandra Ong, a representative of a Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO), has been arrested in Indonesia along with Shiela Guo, the sister of dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo. This follows their escape from the Philippines despite an Immigration Lookout Bulletin against them. Philippine Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos confirmed that Ong and Shiela Guo would be sent back to the Philippines due to their passports allegedly being obtained fraudulently. Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla emphasized the connection between the POGO operations in Bamban and Porac, where illicit activities have been reported. Dismissed Mayor Guo, who is under scrutiny for her ties to these operations, is believed to have fled to Indonesia. The Philippine government is coordinating with Indonesian authorities for the return of Ong and Shiela Guo.
