DTDC Express drone delivery

DTDC Express Ltd has launched a drone delivery service in partnership with Skye Air Mobility, marking a significant milestone as the company celebrates its 35th anniversary. The inaugural delivery took place from Bilaspur to Gurgaon sector 92, covering 7.5 km in just 3-4 minutes, a notable reduction from the usual 15-minute road delivery time. This service aims to enhance last-mile logistics efficiency and sustainability, with each drone delivery expected to save over 520 grams of CO2 emissions compared to traditional methods. CEO Abhishek Chakraborty emphasized the importance of this partnership in redefining logistics in response to digitalization and changing consumer behaviors. Following its successful launch, DTDC plans to expand the drone delivery service to other strategic locations across India, focusing on areas where it can have the most significant impact. This initiative reflects DTDC's commitment to leveraging technology for better logistics solutions.
