Floods Devastate Northeast India and Bangladesh

Bangladesh and northeastern India are facing severe flooding due to relentless heavy rains and river overflow, affecting millions and resulting in numerous casualties. At least 13 people have died and 4.5 million are stranded in Bangladesh, with the worst-hit areas being Feni and Cox's Bazar. The floods have also impacted India's Tripura state, causing at least 19 deaths and displacing over 34,000 people. Both nations have mobilized military and relief efforts, with Bangladesh deploying the army, navy, and coast guard for rescue operations. The flooding has caused widespread destruction of homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods, exacerbated by climate change-induced extreme weather events. Relief camps and emergency shelters have been set up, but many remain without power, food, or clean water.
