Transgender Teen's Killers Receive Sentencing

Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe were convicted for the murder of 16-year-old transgender girl, Brianna Ghey. Fascinated by serial killers, they lured Ghey to a park in Warrington, Cheshire, and stabbed her 28 times. The murder was filmed by Ratcliffe while Jenkinson, known for her dark fantasies, carried out most of the stabbing. The pair, whose identities were released due to strong public interest, were sentenced to minimum terms of 22 and 20 years in prison respectively before they become eligible for parole. Ghey's mother believes that the pair, driven in part by transphobic attitudes, cannot be rehabilitated and pose a danger to society.
