Tarsem Singh extradited

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has successfully extradited Tarsem Singh, a key figure in the pro-Khalistan terror network, from the UAE to India. Singh, who is associated with the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), was arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) following a non-bailable warrant issued in June 2023. He is the brother of Lakhbir Singh Landa, a designated terrorist believed to be operating from Canada. The NIA's investigations indicate that Singh played a crucial role in financing and facilitating terrorist activities, including the conspiracy behind RPG attacks in Punjab. He was initially detained in Abu Dhabi after an Interpol Red Corner Notice was issued against him. The case highlights a broader network of foreign operatives linked to organized crime and terrorism in India.
